- Telix 3.12 (trademark) under DESKVIEW (trademark).
-
- by: Lawrence E. Widacki
-
- If you are using a mouse on COM1 and your modem board is on COM3 then you MUST
- set the modem board to IRQ2 or IRQ5. I use COM3 - IRQ2 with no problems.
-
- Same is true is mouse is on COM2 and modem board is on COM4.
-
- Some BUS mice trap IRQ2 so you mite use IRQ5 for the modem board.
- If you have LPT2 then IRQ5 may not be available.
- Check your manuals, for the information is usually there.
-
-
- These IRQ's may not have any conflic under just DOS, but they will have conflic
- under DESKVIEW.
-
-
- This is the configuration I use with Telix 3.12, a mouse on COM1, and the modem
- board on COM3 - IRQ2. This works with DESKVIEW so long you setup DESKVIEW the
- same way I show below Telix 3.12 configuration.
-
- Save your Telix 3.12 configuration by copying TELIX.CNF to another file incase
- you have problems.
-
- If you set the modem board to a new configuration before you reconfigure Telix,
- Telix 3.12 will HANG UP at the modem intialization point, because it will never
- recieve the OK from the modem.
- This may not be a bug, but worth mentioning it.
- To avoid this, reconfigure Telix 3.12 first then reconfigure the modem board,
- else, using a text editor, edit TELIX.CNF.
- Search for `c3irq=' and change the number to the IRQ you will be using.
- Also search for `port=' and make sure the COM port number your using is correct.
-
- DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SETTINGS IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS.
